American Oil

Today Bush coming out of meetings says that he wants to drill for oil in the restricted areas around the United States. He wants to know why that Democrats keep blocking bills to allow oil drilling in those areas which are restricted today.
One of the reasons would more likely be that oil drilling in those areas has a good potential to harm those very fragile environments which needs to stay stable. I am not a true evironmentalist at all, but I do believe that until we can be sure that what we will be doing won't harm the environment, we should not drill in those areas.
Even if drilling passed in the government in those restricted areas, we wouldn't see the effects of the pricing or the supply for a good 5 to 10 years. What we need is something like electric cars or solar powered cars to be mass produced and affordable for all people all over the world. We need something to happen sooner than 5 or 10 years in the future. We should be getting away from oil all together but I guess it would hurt Bush due to the fact he is in the oil business. So I don't see him trying very hard to get away from oil to soon because it might hurt his pocket book. Money is all he has got because IQ is something he doesn't have and most americans would agree with that.
